1 Dollar Donated equals 2 dollars for Ethiopia

roasters-challenge-2

We’re excited to announce the launch of the East vs. West Roasters Challenge for Cervical Cancer Prevention! This friendly competition pits coffee roasters east and west of the Mississippi against each other to see which side can raise more for our new program in Ethiopia.

Dean’s Beans Organic Coffee of Massachusetts and Royal Coffee of California have both donated $25,000 to Grounds for Health Ethiopia to seed the challenge and show their support. Other roasters already involved include: Fuel So Good Coffee Roasters, Mad Cat Coffee and Cafe Excellence for Team East; Arbuckle Coffee Service, White Rock Coffee and Caffe Ibis for Team West. Also a shout out for all the donors from Green Coffee Buyers Club!

This challenge is part of a new 1:1 match by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in its support for Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon, a public-private partnership focused on reducing deaths from cervical and breast cancer in Latin America and Africa.

Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon will double your impact by matching every dollar raised for Grounds for Health Ethiopia up to $200,000.
