Video: Celebrating 20 Years of Grounds for Health

View on Vimeo:

Twenty years ago Grounds for Health co-founders Dan Cox and the late OB/GYN Dr. Francis Fote witnessed a gross injustice: women in the coffeelands were dying needlessly from cervical cancer, a nearly 100% preventable disease. They took action and Grounds for Health was born.

What started as a small volunteer-based effort in Mexico has blossomed into a thriving international NGO with cervical cancer prevention programs in Ethiopia, Kenya, Nicaragua and Peru.

Thanks to the tireless work of volunteers, staff, board members, supporters and partners, we have delivered life-saving healthcare to over 60,000 women in coffee-growing regions. Last year we reached a record number of women—more than twice as many as the year before—and we’re poised to double our results again in 2016.

It’s time to double down on women’s health. By 2020, Grounds for Health will reach 50,000 women annually. Our ambitions are big; our task is clear—to make needless deaths from cervical cancer a thing of the past.

THANK YOU to the Grounds for Health family for 20 incredible years. We can’t wait to share the next journey with you!
